Cool Summer Nights at Clark Planetarium

Join Clark Planetarium and the Salt Lake Astronomical Society (SLAS) in a salute to amateur astronomy.

August is a great time for observing. Many beautiful “Deep Sky” astronomical objects can easily be seen and the Perseid meteor shower reaches peak visibility on August 12.

Clark Planetarium is hosting a series of free lectures to show you how to use a telescope to see what objects are visible late summer night sky. As a bonus, attendees will receive a coupon for 10% off telescopes, binoculars and accessories in the Planet Fun Clark Planetarium Store!

SLAS will also be at the events with details on upcoming public star parties where attendees can get acquainted with telescopes and meet others interested in amateur astronomy.
