Once you know the “secret” ingredients and understand the cooking methods used by Japanese steakhouses, you’ll be able to re-create the atmosphere of a high-energy Japanese steakhouse right in your own home. The Ogden Nature Center will offer free admission and naturalist guided activities on Saturdays throughout the summer. Free hands-on crafts, nature walks and activities will be provided from 9:30-11 am and from 1-2:30 pm. Many thanks to RAMP/Weber County for making Free Summer Saturdays possible. Located in the heart of Ogden, you’ll find a 152-acre nature preserve and education center open to the public year-round. Visitors enjoy 1.5 miles of walking trails, picnic areas, tree houses, bird blinds and an exhibit of live birds of prey. The preserve is a hot spot for birding. Two of Utah’s greenest buildings are on site to teach about sustainable structures. A unique gift shop is located in the Visitor Center.
The Ogden Nature Center offers a wide variety of classes & workshops for all ages including art, photography, birding, wildlife in Utah, outdoor recreation, conservation, sustainability, summer camps and more.
Introduction to Photography
This class will cover camera handling techniques and controls necessary to produce quality photographs for digital and film. Students will also learn basic black and white darkroom skills needed to understand the link between the photographic process and the final print. Students may take the traditional cost. Class is limited to 18 students; minimum enrollment of 5 students.
