Heber Valley Tube ‘n Train Ride

The Tube ‘n Train Adventure departs from the Heber Valley Railroad Depot, travels to the Soldier Hollow Platform, then returns to the Heber Valley Railroad Depot after an exciting, tow lift-served snow tubing session.

Get out and experience winter fun combining a train ride and snow tubing on a 1,000 foot groomed hill with tow lift service.Enjoy approx. 90 minutes of snow tubing before returning on a relaxing train ride to Heber. Note: the 3:00 pm departure returns by bus.

Fare includes train ride, snow tube, tow lift pass, shuttle transfer. Food options limited at tubing hill. Order boxed lunch with advance reservation.

Snowshoeing can contribute to increased cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and muscle endurance. Bring snowshoes or borrow a pair from the park. Pre‑registration is required. Day‑use fee is $10 per vehicle with up to eight people or free to Utah State Parks Pass holders. For more information, please call (435) 782‑3030 or (435) 649‑9540. Hailstone is located at exit 8 off hwy 40 on the west side of Jordanelle State Park.

Sheepdog Championship & Country Festival

Top sheepdog handlers from around the world are aleady planning their return, with top teams representing seven countries already scheduled to compete.

This year the Bank of the West Soldier Hollow Classic’s I.F.A. Country Festival offers an even wider assortment of crafts, activities and demonstrations. Dozens of top artisans from throughout the west will offer a wide array of handmade products. Demonstrations will include weaving, spinning, sheep shearing and pottery making. Our Navajo Rug Show, sponsored by Adopt-a-Native Elder, features finely woven traditional Navajo textiles and demonstrations by Navajo artisans. Families will also enjoy a wide array of animal demonstrations and activities including duck herding, the Ultimate Canines Flying Dog Show, Wild Wonders Animal Show and bagpipe performances by the Salt Lake Scots! The Country Festival also features great food and traditional Celtic music.

Ride the Longest Tubing Lanes in Utah

Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park near Midway offers the longest tubing lanes in Utah. The hill has lengthy 1,200-foot sliding lanes with lift service for towing people up the hill for tubing day or night under the lights, and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tunes.

Snow Tubing, Soldier Hollow, Utah, Family, Children's Activities A trip to the Soldier Hollow tubing hill is affordable family fun—where kids are kids, and adults get the chance to be kids again. People literally race to get back in line as quickly as possible for another plunge. It’s a great outdoor activity for everyone to participate.

To assure a quality experience, Soldier Hollow limits the sale of tubing tickets. On Saturdays and busy holidays, in particular, we encourage pre-purchase of tubing hill tickets. Tickets can be purchased in advance with a credit card at 435.654.2002 or in person at the Lodge.

Tubing admission for anyone age 7 and above is $20 for a two hour session. Tubing for age 3-6 is $10. (Age three is our minimum age to ride the lift, but we do offer free tube use on a small slope, with parental supervision, for those under 3). Single rides are also available for $5 for 7 and older and $3 for ages 3-6. All rates include tube use and lift ride.

Group rates are available for groups that book and pay in advance. For 25 and more the rate is $14 per person for 50 and more the rate is $13 per person. Exclusive use for a private party is offered for $950 for up to 120 (one lift) or $1350 for up to 200 (two lifts) midweek. On Fridays and Saturdays the private rate is $1,150 for up to 120 and $1,550 for up to 200. Private parties can be booked anytime outside of the regular operating hours of the tubing hill. Warm winter snow boots are available for rent for $10 for adults and $5 for juniors.
