Park City Ghost Tours

Park City Ghost Tours, Ghost Stories, Park City, UtahHear about Lizzy… the ghost that lives at the Imperial Hotel. Her husband shot her and her boyfriend as they lay sleeping in bed. (She likes men with beards!)

Learn about the Miner who fell down the mine shaft losing every limb on the 600 foot fall. (His favorite bar with the Alamo and he can still be seen drinking there today.)

Park City Ghost Tours reflects years of research into the colorful past of Park City. Originally a mining outpost, most people in Utah considered Park City “Sin City”.

With mining came hard drinking, gambling and brothels. And with this… came accidents, mysterious unexplained deaths and MURDER!

Acoustic Music Playlist – A Free Collection of Music for your listening pleasure!

*Is it open mike or open mic? I’ve seen it spelled both ways. So I checked my dictionary, which lists mike as the preferred spelling, and mic as a variant. Other dictionaries I consulted didn’t include mic at all. Still unsatisfied, I checked Bryan A. Garner’s Dictionary of Modern American Usage (1998 edition). Garner argues, “Whereas mike more immediately suggests the pronunciation, mic more immediately suggests the longer form. All in all, mic might be considered preferable.”

Winter Olympic Games Museum

The Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center, Olympic Park, Park City, Utah, Winter Olympic Venue, Bobsledding, Luge, Winter Sports Training, Skiing, Snowboarding, History Museum

The Alf Engen Ski Museum is one of two impressive anchor exhibits of the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center located in Park City, Utah. The George Eccles 2002 Olympic Winter Games museum is the other. Here you are more than a spectator – you’re a participant!

Alf Engen Ski Museum, Olympic Park, Park City, Utah, Skiing, Olympic Winter, HistoryThat’s because our state-of-the-art interactive and virtual exhibits place you in the epicenter of the past, present and future of winter sports in the Intermountain Region, including an Olympic downhill course. That’s a great way to experience one of the most extensive collections of ski and Olympic/Paralympic Winter Games memorabilia in the U.S. The museum’s comprehensive educational component gives school children a skiing-based foundation to study subjects such as the water cycle, physics and Utah’s colorful history.

The idea of a ski museum originated when a group of ski history enthusiasts, headed by Alan Engen, realized the need for a facility recognizing those ski and snow sport pioneers and athletes who had made significant contributions to winter sports in the Intermountain Region. His vision is now realized in one of the premier ski history museums in the world. The Alf Engen Ski Museum has recently received “Best of State” honors in the “Museum and Attractions” category.

Park guests are offered guided tours of the Olympic competition sites, featuring the world’s highest altitude ski jumps and the fastest bobsled, luge and skeleton track. Tours visit the top of the K-120 ski jump and the starting site for bobsled track, which also offer spectacular panoramic views of the valley below.

Hours: 9am – 6pm

Admission is FREE
Admission to both museums – Alf Engen Ski Museum and George Eccles 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum is free!  The self-guided walking tour of the Park is also free.
