UOU vs. Stanford!
Utah is the nation’s attendance leader in women’s gymnastics, averaging over 11,000 fans per meet for the past 20 years, including an NCAA record 14,213 average a year ago, when Utah became the first team other than basketball to win a women’s collegiate season attendance title.
While Utah will officially begin its Pac-12 membership next year, the gymnastics program has a long and storied history with the conference. Utah has competed against Pac-10 schools 337 times in its 35-year history, building a 291-43-3 record against them. Utah (9) and UCLA (6) have combined to win 15 of the 29 NCAA Gymnastics Championships to date. Utah has 10 national titles total, including the 1981 AIAW Championship, while UCLA is the defending NCAA Champion.
This season, Utah’s 11-meet regular season schedule includes competitions against five Pac-10 schools (UCLA, Stanford, Arizona State, Washington and Oregon State).
